Friday, 27th December
The weather today was crazy hot so we decided to make it a freeride day with Erik and Tintin the dog! We warmed up at a nice chill hill and later hit this beauty!
The next day we headed further down south towards San Jose in the natural park Cabo de Gata. When we arrived we immediately started looking for a tapas place because it was Mihaels’s birthday and our 4-year anniversary! So yeah, happy us <3! When we got the first beer and tapas our expectations were shattered because the first tapas was horrible - so we tried again and again and again and after the last beer the tapas was good!
After that we went to check out the lighthouse in Cabo de Gata, a nice place but too windy for us. The next stop was supposed to be Almeria, but as we checked our Facebook for any new messages from the longboarders in Almeria, we found no reply from the guys so we continued on our rout.
We ended up near Nerja in Torrox Costa! Luckly we found the perfect spot next to the beach with water and friendly people. As we checked google maps for new spots to skate we found a few skatable places right next to our parking lot! After skating the first one Nadia’s tooth started hurting and we had to go to the nearest dentist to take it out :( In the next days recovering she took the time to film the local spots.
We stayed in Torrox Costa for 11 days one reason for that was good skate spots and the next is free WiFi - our fresh friend from Greece gave us the password for the wifi in the nearest closed restaurant. Thank you!
We left Torrox Costa with good memories and we know we’re going back soon.
La Bateria de Atalayon
When we left Calp, our journey took us through Torevieja, passed Cartagena to La Azohia, a qiuet and peacefull village with a few campers parked next to the sea. We explored the area to find the perfect spot to spend the night when we randomly found a vending machine with beer and Coca Cola. After getting refeshments we went up to La Bateria De Atalayon. It was night and the road was narrow and we were so excited about the view, that we drove slowly to the top. After spending the night we took a long walk to see the sights La Bateria has to offer. The most beautifull place we found so far is an abandoned military fort (we don’t know much about it because all the signs were in Spanish haha). I must say this was the first ‘touristy’ thing we did and you figured, we took a lot of photos so check them out!
Finally another edit from Spain! Check it out and share it if you like it! Big thanks goes to Nadia, Stefano and David for shooting <3
